Nearly ten years ago when the rest of the country was slipping into a recession B. C. was flying high.

We had one of the best economies in the world.

Then the Liberal Party, under the leadership of Gordon Campbell, decided they wanted to kill the Teamsters union.

At that time the film industry was bringing two billion dollars a year into the province.

The liberal party forced a clause into the contract between producers and the film industry which leagally killed the contract.

Then, and for the following few years, the movie companies stayed away from B. C.

Immediately B. C. fell into the recession with the rest of the world.

Over the past couple of years I have heard a lot of speeches, from a lot of people, asking,`How do we revive the film industry?'

But not once have I heard anyone promise to reverse the decision of the seniority clause.
